Based in the Netherlands, the Sr. Relations Manager is key in the Business Relations team and the face and main point of contact towards clients on their day to day business needs. At the same time, you’re the face of TABS in Western Europe, with an initial focus on the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK.
Your day to day work consists of getting and keeping in touch with TABS’ its client portfolio, discussing how the U.S. business is developing and what follow up might be required. You’re an important sparring partner who develops a broad knowledge base on doing business in the U.S.A. From that knowledge, you’re able to identify opportunities and risks and therefore act as a strategic advisor to C-level. By doing so, you create opportunities for TABS and its partners for further growth.
When you’re not communicating with our clients, you’re in constant contact with our Western European network, talking to our partners on new developments, mutual interests and where we can strengthen each other, for instance by organizing events, seminars and workshops. You’ll be managing the Benelux Relations team, which is a small team of highly motivated Relations managers.
The ideal candidate will have some years of experience as an account manager / relations manager within a business environment such as Banking, Legal and/or Accountancy. You have an intrinsic drive to (get to) know everything there is about doing business in the U.S.A., whether it concerns banking, legal, taxes, accounting, HR, customs or other related topics. With your entrepreneurial mindset, you get things done without losing common interest out of sight.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cultivates and nurtures strong relations with TABS’ clients and partners in Western-Europe.
- Spends time on analyzing, servicing and maintaining the TABS client portfolio and is a first point of contact with support of the Business Relations and Support Officers.
- Acts as the manager for Relations Managers and Support staff in our Eindhoven office.
- Organizes and attends events, seminars etc to act as the face of TABS and create goodwill with stakeholders, clients and leads.
- Able to travel within Europe to attend networking events, meet with clients and give presentations on various topics.
- Exercises independent judgment to drive daily department activities. You are expected to proactively identify tasks & navigate obstacles using your professional expertise, ensuring the department maintains momentum without requiring external prompts.
- Helps to determine (upsell) opportunities in the portfolio and makes sure they are followed up
- Demonstrates a commitment to mastering the intricacies of U.S. market entry. You are expected to take full accountability of the inquiry process, ensuring clients receive accurate answers even when the subject matter is outside your immediate expertise.
- Holds regular meetings with all service departments within TABS and is up to date on developments both internally and externally.
Team:
- The Sr. Relations Manager actively works with the Relations team in the Netherlands with their main office in Eindhoven (and the necessity to work from the office in Eindhoven at least three days a week).
- Additionally, this role works closely with the Business Development Team and all Service Teams (Houston and New York).
Knowledge/Education
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge of Business Operations
- At least 5 years background in business services such as banking, legal or accounting as Account or Relations Manager
- Preferably familiar with techniques such as Lean and Six Sigma which we use to constantly improve our organization.
- Profound knowledge of Customer Service
Core Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills on phone and in-person in English AND Dutch is a must. Good knowledge of Spanish, German or other European languages is a pro but not a necessity.
- A proven track record of working in environments that require high levels of initiative and self-directed problem solving.

Fulltime role
